Brown Sugar and Rum Peaches and Nectarines

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • 2 large firm, ripe peaches, quartered
  • 2 large firm, ripe nectarines, quartered
  • vanilla ice cream to serve


Directions

Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add rum and fruit, simmer for 2 minutes or until fruit is warm. Serve with ice cream if desired.

Serves 4.
